Darren Edwards is a professional photographer of over 20 years’ experience.

Darren has a degree in Fine Arts and has worked as a photojournalist for over 15 years. His first love is portrait photography and particularly photographing people in their environment.

Growing up in the semi-rural Hawkesbury district of north western Sydney in NSW, Darren developed a strong sense of family and community which has helped to inform his photographic style — using the natural environment and surroundings as a perfect backdrop for creating unique and striking images.

Now based in the Blue Mountains with his young family, Darren’s love of landscape and people has continued. Whether it be family or newborn portraits, fine art or corporate images, Darren’s experience, skill and knowledge ensure his clients receive work of the highest quality and professional standard.

Darren’s clients tell him that they love their images and that they find the photo-shoot experience itself to be fun, relaxed and just what they wanted.

Darren is a full member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), the industry body which provides governance and codes of practice for the professional photographic industry. Darren is an experienced tutor and also conducts regular photographic workshops for beginners to more accomplished photographers.
